Age-Friendly Innovation Center (AFIC)
The Age-Friendly Innovation Center (AFIC) is part of The Ohio State University College of Social Work. AFIC works to improve the social, built, and service environments that support inclusive community livability for people of all ages and abilities.
Cancer and Aging Resiliency (CARE) Clinics
The James Comprehensive Cancer Center's CARE Clinics provide comprehensive services for older adults diagnosed with any type or stage of cancer. CARE Clinics identify age-related needs common in cancer patients. Individuals age 65+ can be seen at diagnosis, during treatment, or after treatment.
Center for Aging Families (CAF)
The Center for Aging Families (CAF) is a multidisciplinary research center advancing population-based studies of aging families across Bowling Green State University, The Ohio State University, and Purdue University. CAF focuses on three areas: demographic change, family health, and health disparities.
Center for Healthy Aging, Self-Management & Complex Care
The Center for Healthy Aging, Self-Management & Complex Care unites nurse scientists, clinicians, educators, and scholars to improve health across the lifespan through research on complex conditions, cognition, health promotion, social determinants, and symptom science.
Golden Buckeye Center for Dementia Caregiving
The Golden Buckeye Center for Dementia Caregiving provides education, resources, and support for caregivers across Ohio. Through in-person and virtual programs, it serves families and professionals, strengthening caregiving and improving support for individuals living with dementia.
Center for Intergenerational Research and Practice (CIRP)
The Center for Intergenerational Research and Practice (CIRP) builds and advances the knowledge base of evidence-supported methods for promoting individual, familial, organizational, and community development and health through intergenerational relationships.
Center for Neurobiology of Aging & Resiliency
The Center for Neurobiology of Aging and Resiliency (CNAR) advances translational research to understand and improve brain aging. Using multidisciplinary approaches, CNAR focuses on healthy aging, neurodegeneration, and aging with neurological disorders to enhance function and health span in older adults.
Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology
The Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology at The Ohio State University improves the lives of older adults through teaching, research, and outreach. It supports professionals, students, and the community with continuing education, career resources in aging, and community and research programs.
OSU Extension: Family & Consumer Services
The OSU Extension Aging team delivers educational programs statewide to help older adults age well and live independently. Programs include Bingocize®, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, A Matter of Balance, and Alzheimer’s education, along with telecasts, caregiver resources, and connections to national aging organizations.
Institute of Brain, Behavior and Immunology (IBBI)
The Institute for Brain, Behavior and Immunology (IBBI) at The Ohio State University advances interdisciplinary research on how brain, behavior, and immune interactions shape health. Through basic and clinical science, IBBI improves patient outcomes, strengthens research, and trains the next generation of scientists in areas such as stress, immunology, and mind-body health.
