Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Aging
The Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Aging offers students advanced educational opportunities in the field of aging. The program allows graduate and professional students an opportunity to gain specific expertise in the care of older adults through both required and elective coursework. The Specialization’s core curriculum focuses on the basic components of gerontology shared by many disciplines, while the electives allow students to pursue either a research agenda or a more clinically-oriented pathway.

Postdoc T32: Biology of Aging & Lung Diseases
The T32 training program is designed to train postdoctoral MD and PhD fellows into future leaders, stewarding cutting-edge research in the field of aging and lung disease. The program fosters a multidisciplinary approach- integrating basic mechanistic investigation of pulmonary diseases and the biology of aging with clinical and translational investigation of acute and chronic lung disease.

Age-Friendly Certificate Program
The Age-Friendly Innovation Center at The Ohio State University College of Social Work has partnered with local and national experts to create online training that provides the opportunity for participants to earn a Certificate in Age-Friendly Communities. Earning this certificate demonstrates competency in the foundational tenets of creating an age-friendly community, facilitating an age-friendly focus group, and creating an age-friendly Village.

Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology Continuing Education
The Ohio State Office of Geriatrics and Gerontology offers a variety of online, self-paced courses designed for both professionals and community members. These courses provide practical knowledge and evidence-based insights to support healthy aging and improve care for older adults.
