Paula Agudelo Garcia, PhD

Assistant Professor, Biomedical Engineering

Biography

Paula Agudelo Garcia is an assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University and leads the Agudelo Garcia Lab. Her research examines connections between cellular metabolism, chromatin organization, and gene regulation in aging and cellular senescence.

Her laboratory studies how cells recover chromatin structure and function after stress and how failures in this recovery contribute to age-related disease. The work connects mechanistic research with therapeutic strategies to improve the function and resilience of cells and tissues.
